21. March, 20102 cakes for 24 yearsXiaoMei's birthday was celebrated at the Chinese new year's eve, and this year she had no less than 2 cakes. Left cake from her parents, right cake from me. As I was a little skeptical to the local Rizhao cakes from the last year, I decided to bring a cake all the way from Beijing, and despite a long Metro, bus, taxi etc ride it did arrive intact (luckily as I didn't want to serve a "broken heart"). The rum&cherry cake from Awfully Chocolate was really good. Eventually we managed to finish it all, greatly thanks to me that had a lot of cake to substitute for bread during breakfast the next few days.
