31. October, 2010Memories of cuing upWhat will people remember most from EXPO in Shanghai? I am afraid it will be from cuing up and battling with even larger crowds of Chinese inside the walls than outside. Previous record holder, also in having the longest cues(?), was Osaka in 1970 with 64 million visitors. Now beaten by China with almost 73 million people. In this case, giving away millions of free tickets to break former record, well or to let as many as possible enjoy the EXPO, did harm the quality of the experience for the about 2-3% non-chinese attending the expo, or paying visitors in general. Here a blissed view of no cues, but what once was. Written by Shanghaiet @ 14:03. 0 comment(s) |
