Let’s not be too critical, the English is pretty good, and quite to the fact. However one might get the impression that economic and cultural exchanges has been on an never ending rise. The sad truth of course is that the innovation of ships and navigation made the silk road obsolete, and led to an inevitable sharp decline of the activity in the area.
