Seafood delight

377432968.jpg
The seafood on Chang Mai is simply fantastic, and this Tuna steak was no
exception. Took the time to write some postcards at the same time, and for
those of you that do not get any, this blog picture will have to do (how
many of you can say you even know my address anyway?)

Time to go snorkel-trip!
Plenty of Coral reefs around.

Laxing in the sun

Paradise Guesthouse lived up to it's name, not only cheapest (200bath), this
great view, and the very nice owner made breakfast for me included. After
that I could relax on a super comfy mattress, do nothing a few hours.

Two nights on poles

377426582.jpg
A fishing village situated by an endlessly long concrete pier, the houses
themselves were on poles and wooden extensions. One night with heavy winds I
was sure the super cheap place I stayed would be washed away...

Next door

377424178.jpg
A place 10 times more expensive. Didn't mind the moscitos nor the shabby
look of my place, but the fact that every morning a layer of dust covers the
bed (and equally much in mu lunges making me wake up and cough). However I
moved to a completely other beach: Ban Bao where nice rooms had nice prices.

Time standing still

377421035.jpg
Giving up finding deep water, I decided to closely to examine the life of
crab insects that were plentiful on the beach. Yet another fantastic way to
make a day pass, and in between borrowing a hammoc to slumber.

Shallow water!

373206921.jpg
In my search for deep water I set out from the beach,.. but as I arrived at
the island in the horison, I just had to give up for now. At least I did not
copy my mistake Morten and I did when we went for a "short" swim on our
first day - that time we didn't wear sunscreen.

Bungalow life

373204370.jpg
I ended up taking the night bus to Koh Chang,.. the elephant island (due to
it's shape). A simple bungalow is all that I need to be happy,.. 50 RMB / 40
NOK pr night, shower across the courtyard. A one hour massage is the same
price... but that's too expensive ehhrm..? Hmm.. why did't I bring a silk
linen bag...

Arriving at the Elephantisland

373201136.jpg
After one night in Nontha Buri I moved down to Bangkok and met up with a
former classmate from Fudan from last spring semester. Lin from Thailand is
crazy about china and chinese and is coming back again for this spring
semester. Here from the busy and popular bar street Khaosan road.

Jeg tror også det er det første stedet vi bodde på ett par dager i Bangkok. Der hadde veldig god chicken green curry og en shot med interessant farge kalt kamikaze.
