Uncle Jens

CIMG5268.jpg
I met Uncle Jens for the last time in September, here is the old folks home he was clearly quite weak from having cancer. By the time I post this blog he was already dead. He was the most friendly and warmhearted guy, and always cared more for others than himself, a great man has left us.

Out hunting

CIMG5252.jpg
Great autumn colors as we went hunting in the mountains close to Lillehammer.

På jakttur. Fine høstfarger nære Kroksjøen.

The victim

CIMG5255.jpg
We were supposed to look for Grouses, however we ended up with this bird stupid enough to cross our path. Not a lot of meat on this one, but my father says it’s good to eat anyway.

The cottage next to the lake

CIMG5223.jpg
We have a very small cottage next to Mjøsa, and the terrace is actually bigger than the cottage itself. A nice place to go for short trips.

På tur til Mjøshytta!

Bella

CIMG5225.jpg
Beautiful Bella, my family have always had hunting dogs – English Setters, and I have always had close relations to them. Alas, it is not only people in Norway that I miss ;)

Vacation in Korea!

CIMG5073.jpg
Last Christmas my good friend Kim came along with me to experience a Norwegian Christmas. Now it was my turn to experience Korea, and Kim was an excellent guide that took me to the major spots in the capital Seoul and for a trip down south to the “Riviera”. I had a very good impression of Korea, and I might be returning for a skiing trip later..

"SkoNo"

CIMG5061.jpg
Walking up and down the streets of Seoul we bumped into some “supposedly
Norwegian” shoes by the brand “SkoNo”, all complete with the Norwegian
flag,.. attached to a shoe with a rather Swedish design…
http://www.skono.co.kr/sub01/brand.html

Folk Museum, ancient hair styles

CIMG5090.jpg
Here is a photo from a folk museum with a very interesting collection.

Her er ett bilde fra ett Koreansk folkemuseum, med bl.a. visning av
tradisjonelle håroppsett.
